Alison Lacey (Iowa State) and Brittney Griner (Baylor) were named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Players of the Week by a media voting panel for games from Dec. 7-13. Lacey (player) earned her third career award while Griner (freshman) was recognized for the second time this season.

Alison Lacey averaged 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in Iowa State's wins over Iowa and Minnesota. The 6-0 guard recorded just the second triple-double in school history and the 13th all-time in the Big 12 Conference in the victory over Iowa. She posted 19 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, five steals and two blocked shots. Lacey's 13 assists were a career high and tied for sixth place on the ISU single-game list. Despite missing the final eight minutes of the first half with foul trouble at Minnesota, Lacey scored 23 points and posted three assists and three rebounds. The Canberra, Australia native shot 42.3 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc in the two games. She also went 16-for-16 from the charity stripe. Lacey has moved into 11th place on the Iowa State career scoring chart with 1,285 points.

Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Brittney Griner, Baylor, P, Houston, Texas

Brittney Griner scored 25 points, had seven rebounds, a steal and three blocked shots to help Baylor beat Boston College 68-55 on Sunday in the Maggie Dixon Classic in Madison Square Garden. The 6-8 post led the Lady Bears in both scoring and rebounding. She was 12-of-24 from the floor and 1-for-3 from the charity stripe. Griner raised her season blocks total to 50 and continues to rank No. 2 nationally in blocks per game. She leads the Lady Bears in scoring at 17.0 points a game, averaging 24.3 over the last three outings.
