Big 12 Athlete of the Year candidates will be highlighted each day through July 23. Fans will then be able to vote for their male and female choices from July 23-28. Fan voting will be considered in the final tally for selecting this prestigious award. Today's featured candidates are Texas Tech's Gladys Kipsang and Omo Osaghae.

Male Athlete of the Year Candidate Omo Osaghae; Track & Field Senior; Lubbock, Texas Accomplishments - Placed second in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2010 Big 12 Indoor Championship - Finished third in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships - TTU Indoor school record holder in the 55-meter hurdles and 60-meter hurdles - TTU Outdoor school record holder in the 110-meter hurdles - Three-time All-America

Female Athlete of the Year Candidate Gladys Kipsang; Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Senior; Keiyo, Kenya Accomplishments - Indoor All-America - Member of the 2010 Indoor Big 12 champion Distance Medley Relay - Member of the 2010 Cross Country NCAA Regional Championship Team - Member of the 2010 Big 12 Champion Cross Country Team - Participant on two school-record relay teams.
