Big 12 Big Plays

Each week, followers of the Big 12 Conference will have a chance to vote for the biggest plays from the past weekend of football action.

A variety of plays will be considered, with the number changing each week.  Visitors to the Big 12 web site will be able to view the television video from each contest and then vote for their favorite.  Voting begins each Monday and continues until the following Monday.  Periodic updates of the voting will be posted during the course of the week, with the winner announced on the final day.

Play 1 - After receiving a toss from quarterback Cody Hawkins, Colorado tailback Rodney Stewart lobbed a 23-yard touchdown pass to Toney Clemons to give the Buffaloes a 16-14 lead in the second quarter. Play 2 - Oklahoma's DeMarco Murray caught a swing pass and outran the Baylor defense to open the scoring in the Sooners' 53-24 win over BU. It was the longest reception of Murray's career.
Play 3 - Oklahoma State's Michael Harrison blocked a Kansas punt and picked up the loose ball, returning it for a touchdown and giving OSU a 34-14 lead over KU. Play 4 - Missouri's Michael Egnew made a leaping catch in the back of the endzone for an 11-yard touchdown reception, his fourth of the year, giving the Tigers a 7-0 lead over Iowa State.
Play 5 - Texas' Malcolm Williams caught a Hail Mary hurl for a touchdown from Garrett Gilbert with no time remaining at the end of the first half. The score gave the Longhorns a 24-7 lead going into the locker room. Play 6 - Colorado's Rodney Stewart hustled 51 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of the Buffs' 44-36 win over Kansas State. Stewart managed to keep his balance after nearly stumbling and barreled past Wildcat defenders.
