Baylor joins Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M in the national polls this week. The Aggies remain in the top 10 on all four lists, including a No. 4 ranking by the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball. The Longhorns' highest ranking is No. 7 by Collegiate Baseball. Oklahoma sits as high as 17th, while Baylor holds the No. 25 Baseball America ranking.

The Big 12 opened the 2012 season with an 18-10 record. League teams combine for 37 games this week. Baylor, Kansas and Texas A&M remain undefeated with 3-0 marks.

Baylor, Texas and Texas Tech take on ranked opponents this weekend as the Bears and Longhorns visit the west coast to face No. 22 UCLA and No. 2 Stanford, respectively. BU will also face No. 14 TCU in Waco on Tuesday. The Red Raiders will play No. 18 St. John's on Friday and Sunday as part of the Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic. K-State will face No. 20 Oregon State on Sunday in the San Diego Tournament.

Kansas head coach Ritch Price recorded his 300th win at KU last Friday night. Price, who has been at Kansas since 2003, becomes the second Jayhawk head coach to amass 300 victories at the school. He is one of six Big 12 coaches to earn 300 victories while coaching in the league.

Other notable coaching win marks ahead include Oklahoma's Sunny Golloway, who is three victories shy of 600 in his coaching career, and Oklahoma State's Frank Anderson, who is three wins away from 300. The next victory for Aggie head coach Rob Childress will be his 250th at Texas A&M.

With two saves last weekend, Texas closer Corey Knebel is three shy of cracking the Big 12 career top 10 list. Knebel, a sophomore, has 21 saves entering the week. In the stolen base department, Jamodrick McGruder (Texas Tech) needs 11 more swipes to enter the Big 12 career top 10 rankings. The junior has totaled 55 thefts since 2010.

Texas A&M was unanimously voted as the preseason favorite in a poll voted on by the league's head coaches. Texas, who also claimed a share of the 2011 Big 12 regular season title and appeared in the College World Series, ranks second. Oklahoma, Baylor and Missouri make up the final top five spots. For the second year in row, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech claimed the sixth and seventh places, respectively. Kansas State and Kansas round out the poll's results.
