ESPN College GameDay Headed To Kansas

For the second time this season, the ESPN College GameDay broadcast will originate from a Big 12 campus. The college basketball road show will arrive in Lawrence on Saturday, Feb. 28 when the Jayhawks host Texas.

The GameDay show will start at Wichita State for its normal morning portion, but then conduct an hour-long pregame show from Allen Fieldhouse beginning at 3 p.m. CT previewing the Texas at Kansas contest set to tip at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Earlier this year, College GameDay produced its entire show from Iowa State on January 17. This marks the fourth time since 2004-05 that the broadcast will be heading to more than one Big 12 campus in the same season.

With the Texas at Kansas game beginning immediately after the hour-long ESPN College GameDay show from Allen Fieldhouse, there will be no public access for the show. Only UT-KU game tickets will be allowed for admission. Doors open for students two hours prior to tip and 1.5 hours for general public.

The selection was made as part of ESPN's new flexible schedule for the GameDay, being used for this season. Sites are announced the week prior to games.

The 2014-15 season marks the 11th year for ESPN's College Gameday. KU has hosted the morning show five times.
