Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech all remain ranked. Highest rankings for the four teams among the national polls for the week are: 1. TCU (Collegiate Baseball, NCBWA, USA Today), 10. Texas Tech (NCBWA), 14. Texas (Collegiate Baseball, NCBWA) and 19. Oklahoma State (NCBWA).

Big 12 teams went 19-8 against non-conference opponents in week five with a series win against every non-league foe over the weekend.

The Frogs are ranked in the top three nationally in all five polls and have been ranked in the top 10 all season on each list. TCU leads the nation with a 1.61 ERA.

The Frogs earned a sweep over Baylor to open conference play and have now won seven Big 12 series in a row dating back to last season. TCU hosts Oklahoma State this weekend with the Cowboys also holding a Big 12 series win streak of seven. OSU won each series from a season ago except its conference-opening series at Baylor. The series pits the league’s top two pitching squads against each other while both teams are also in the top three in the league for batting.

Kansas head coach Ritch Price recorded his 400th victory with the program over the weekend. He is only the second coach in KU history to reach 400 wins. Price is the third coach in the Big 12 with 400 or more wins with their respective program - Baylor’s Steve Smith and Texas’ Augie Garrido.

Oklahoma State’s Josh Holliday became the second-fastest OSU skipper to reach 100 wins. He is now one of six coaches in Cowboy history to reach the century mark in victories.

TCU’s Riley Ferrell is two saves shy of entering the Big 12’s career top 10 list for saves. He enters the week with 25.

Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech are three of 14 teams nationally with four or more shutouts on the year.

Texas’ Ben Johnson leads the Big 12 in hits, triples and total bases, ranking in the top 10 nationally in each of the three categories, including third in hits entering the week. He also leads the Big 12 in multi-hit games with 12 on the year.
