ESPN’s eighth annual College Hoops Tipoff Marathon schedule has been announced and three squads from the Big 12 will be part of the slate. A total of 16 men’s and women’s basketball games will take place beginning on Monday, Nov. 16 and continuing Tuesday, Nov. 17, across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU bringing more than 24 hours of game action to mark the start of the 2015-16 season.
Baylor will be the first league squad to take the court as part of the event, traveling to Oregon on Monday, November 16 for a game at 10:30 p.m. CT. The Bears and Ducks will be meeting for the first time. Oklahoma, ranked No. 8 in the ESPN.com preseason top 25, travels to Memphis for a 4:00 p.m. CT tipoff on November 17. The Sooners and Tigers have met six times in their histories, with UM taking all six matchups.
The 24 hours of college hoops concludes with another Big 12 team as Kansas – No. 5 in the ESPN.com rankings – faces No. 19 Michigan State in the State Farm Champions Classic in Chicago at 9:00 p.m. CT on November 17. The Jayhawks dropped a 67-64 decision the last time the two teams met in the event (2012) and MSU holds a 6-4 all-time series edge.
