Three Headline CoSIDA All-America Teams

Three Big 12 student-athletes earned recognition on the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division I Softball Team. Among the honored were Oklahoma's Paige Parker and Oklahoma State's Vanessa Shippy on the First Team and Baylor's Lindsey Cargill on the second team.

Parker and Shippy were two of nine student-athletes to earn multiple Academic All-America citations this season. Parker received her second consecutive first team honor after notching a 3.96 GPA, while Shippy, who produced third team honors a year ago, earned a 3.94 GPA.

Cargill recorded a 3.77 GPA to become 10th player in Baylor history to be named an Academic All-American.

To be honored on the first team, student-athletes must earn a 3.90 GPA or higher.
