Rudolph to Receive Blanchard-Rogers Trophy

The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame announced Tuesday that former Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph is the winner of the 2017 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy, commonly referred to as “South Carolina’s Heisman.”

The award is presented annually to South Carolina’s most outstanding collegiate football player of the year, with eligible candidates including all college players playing in South Carolina, as well as South Carolina natives playing outside the state.

Rudolph, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, finished the season as the leading passer in FBS, both in terms of passing yards (4,904) and passing yards per game (377.2), and he also led all Power Five players in points responsible for per game (21.7).
