Texas continues to lead the group at No. 13 after a double overtime tie against then-ranked No. 13 Oklahoma State and a tough 1-0 loss against TCU. This is the 18th consecutive appearance in the United Soccer Coaches poll for the Longhorns.
West Virginia appears in the poll for the first time in five weeks at No. 16. The Mountaineers have a perfect 3-0 start in conference play after defeating Kansas State 4-0. The team is unbeaten in its last 40 home conference matches, the longest unbeaten streak in Big 12 history and the third-longest active streak nationally.
Oklahoma State rolls in at No. 21 after a tie with then-ranked No. 8 Texas and a 2-1 loss against Oklahoma. Baylor also made the poll at No. 24, after victories over TCU (1-0) and Texas Tech (2-0).
Conference play continues Friday, October 5, with five matchups, including a top 25 showdown between No. 24 Baylor at No. 16 West Virginia.
