Four Big 12 men’s tennis programs and two women’s teams will play in the second round of the NCAA Tennis Championship after wins.
On the men’s side, No. 6 Baylor, No. 10 TCU, No. 2 Texas and Oklahoma State earned victories in their respective NCAA First Round matches. The Cowgirls and Kansas both swept their opponents to advance to the second round of women’s action.
The men’s Oklahoma Sooners’ opening round match was postponed to Saturday, May 4, due to weather.
Second round action for the men is set to begin on May 4 as the Bears take on Michigan at home. Oklahoma State will battle host-school UCLA, while TCU and Texas are scheduled to host Arizona State and USF, respectively, to cap off round two.
First round matchups for the women are set to begin with the Sooners taking on Winthrop, while Texas Tech plays UNLV. No. 9 UT will host LIU Brooklyn.
Round two action will see the No. 14-seeded Jayhawks matchup against Florida, while No. 15-seeded OSU hosts Miami (FL) for a chance to advance to the NCAA Super Regional.
