Big 12 Bowl Matchups Are Announced

For a nation-leading sixth time the Big 12 Conference has a team playing in the Bowl Championship Series National Championship game. It also marks the fifth time the Conference has two BCS teams.

“I am very pleased the Big 12 will once again be playing for the BCS National Championship,” said commissioner Dan Beebe. “This has been one of the Conference’s most competitive regular seasons and I look forward to our postseason matchups.”

The Big 12 enters postseason play with five teams ranked in the Top 25 of the BCS Standings, including three in the top seven.

When it is not ranked in the top two of the final BCS Standings, the Big 12 Conference champion plays in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
