Oklahoma State junior James Anderson, a first team selection, leads five Big 12 standouts on the All-America Team announced by Sporting News. It marks the fourth straight season that the Big 12 has had at least one member of the publication's first team.
Anderson is the first Cowboy player named to the All-America First Team by Sporting News since 1951 (Gale McArthur). The Big 12 has had 28 players chosen to the Sporting News squads since the league first began play in 1996-97.
