After a run that saw TCU advance to the NCEA National Championship Finals, the Horned Frogs dropped a 8-7 decision to Auburn in the championship match on Saturday evening. The sixth-seeded Horned Frogs were the lowest seed in NCEA history, under the current format, to advance to the finals.
TCU advanced to the NCEA National Championship semifinals after taking its quarterfinal match on Friday morning in Waco, Texas. The Horned Frogs were the sole conference squad to advance, as Baylor, Kansas State and Oklahoma State all dropped hard-fought decisions in the quarterfinals.
Both Kansas State and TCU advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCEA Championship, after claiming victory in their first round matches on Thursday. The eighth-seeded Kansas State topped Delaware State, 10-6, while the sixth-seeded TCU also defeated New Mexico State, 10-6.
The Big 12 Scholar-Athletes of the Year for the 2015-16 winter sport season have been announced.
Student-athletes from Baylor and Oklahoma State have been honored as the Big 12 Riders of the Month for March. Savannah Jenkins (BU), Jorden Davis (OSU), Mary Brown (BU) and Erin Willoughby (OSU) all received the accolade. Jenkins earned Equitation over Fences honors, Davis tallied Equitation on the Flat honors, Brown took Horsemanship honors, while Willoughby recorded Reining honors.
Six conference student-athletes were recognized as National Collegiate Equestrian Association First Team All-America for their talents the NCEA announced on Thursday. In total, 15 riders were honored. In addition to the First Team selections, five garnering Second Team accolades and four earning Honorable Mention.

For the fourth time in five seasons Oklahoma State has taken the Big 12 Equestrian Championship crown. The Cowgirls clinched the 2016 title by topping rival Baylor, 13-6, while TCU defeated Kansas State, 11-8, to clinch the bronze.
Following a full day of competition, Baylor and Oklahoma State advanced to the championship match of the 2016 Big 12 Equestrian Championship. The top-seeded Bears will meet the second-seeded Cowgirls Saturday morning for the conference title, while Kansas State will face off against TCU in the third place match.
For the second consecutive year, Baylor will serve as the No. 1 seed at the Big 12 Equestrian Championship. Oklahoma State follows BU, slotting in as the two-seed, as TCU and Kansas State round out the field as both the third and fourth seed respectively. The 2016 Championship will take place March 25-26 at Totusek Arena on the campus of Oklahoma State.
The team honors 45 first team members and 17 second team members with Oklahoma State earning 19 combined selections, including 17 first team honorees to lead all four teams.
