After guiding Kansas State to a school-record 43 wins and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009, head coach Brad Hill has been named the American Baseball Coaches Association Midwest Region Coach of the Year, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Oklahoma senior J.T. Wise was named the winner of the 2009 Johnny Bench Award. The honor, given annually to the nation's top collegiate catcher since 2000, was given out by the Hall of Fame catcher at a banquet in Wichita on Friday night.
