The Big 12 Conference women's basketball coaches will participate in a media-only teleconference during the 2009-10 season. The teleconference begins at 10:00 a.m. Central Time.
Brittney Griner (Baylor) was named both the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week by a media voting panel for games from Feb. 1-7. Griner earned her first award as player of the week and was chosen freshman of the week for the sixth time. She is the second freshman in league history to pick up both awards in the same week, joining Courtney Paris (Oklahoma) who accomplished the feat on Jan. 3, 2006.
