Eight Big 12 Cross Country teams are ranked in the top 30 of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association 2010 preseason poll. The Big 12 leads the nation with five men's teams in the national top 30.

University of Colorado senior Jenny Barringer was named the recipient of the inaugural The Bowerman award, it was announced.

Oklahoma State's Dave Smith earned the men's Division I National Cross Country Coach of the Year honor, it was announced.

Oklahoma State won its second NCAA men's cross country championship and nine Big 12 student-athletes earned All-America Honors at the NCAA cross country championships in Terra Haute, Ind.

The NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships will be aired on the VERSUS network live on Monday, November 23. The men's race will begin at approximately 11:08 p.m. CT, followed by the women's race at approximately 11:58 p.m. CT. The NCAA will also be streaming the event live on the web at NCAA.com.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the NCAA Division I All-Region Teams for the 2009 cross country season. Men's and women's student-athletes from all 12 Conference schools were represented throughout three regions.
