Phillips 66 Men's Basketball Championship Ticket Holder Information
Here is some additional information for college basketball fans trekking to Kansas City's Sprint Center for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship. It should be a terrific championship and we hope you join us for all nine games.
Tipoff times for the first game of each session are approximately 11:30 am, 6 pm and 5 pm (championship game). Tickets list a start time for the second game of each session but games will actually tipoff 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first contest of the session.
Be On Time…
The popularity of the events in the Power and Light District cause a large number of fans to wait until the very last minute for entry. This, of course, can create long lines and frustrated patrons. We encourage all to come into the building when it opens 90 minutes prior to tipoff (or as soon as we can open the doors between sessions on Thursday and two hours on Friday and Saturday). Pep rallies in the Power and Light have been moved up 15 minutes and we plan to encourage folks to get there early.
…Leave it Behind and use the EXPRESS LANES
We are strongly encouraging fans to not bring bags to the arena. You will notice some entry modifications on both the east and west sides of Sprint Center which will include EXPRESS LANES. Safety has been and will continue to be a priority, but these measures should speed up the entry process.
Here is a list of items that are not permissible for this event: backpacks, pocket knives, weapons of any kind including concealed permits, laser pointers, outside food or beverage, coolers, tablet devices larger than 7 inches, fireworks, Frisbees, beach balls artificial noisemakers including cowbells, clappers, thundersticks, horns and whistles. The Big 12 reserves the right to limit the size of hand-held signage (typically no larger than one person can hold) and any signage that blocks patron view is prohibited and will be removed. The Big 12 reserves the right to remove any signage that does not convey the ideals of college athletics or those with commercial logos.
In addition to pep rallies in the Power and Light District, don't forgot about the Big 12 5/12 K, Big 12 Game Day and Kansas City's Big 12 Big Q Bar-B-Que competition. You'll find more information at visitkc.com/Big12Basketball, sprintcenter.com or Big12Sports.com.
