Waco, Texas - A rain drenched day ended with a win for Baylor in round one and a lead for Oklahoma State in round two. OSU and TCU will continue their second round match up Saturday morning followed by Baylor and Oklahoma State. The team with the best record after tomorrow’s action will be crownd Big 12 Champion.
BU and TCU went head-to-head in the first meet of the championship. The squads went back and forth throughout before Baylor pulled out the 10-9 victory. Events were interrupted near the half way point for a 90-minute lightning delay. Due to the weather, horsemanship was moved into the covered arena.
TCU and Oklahoma State competed in the first half of their meet finishing horsemanship and equestrian on the flat. OSU leads TCU 7-2 after the two events while taking all four points in horsemanship. The meet will resume with their match up tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT.
OSU and BU will face off at 1 p.m. CT starting with fences and reining. The two teams split the regular season and both enter the head-to-head ranked in the top three in the nation.
