Texas has swept the Big 12men’s swimmer and diver of the week awards while Julia Wilkinson (Texas A&M) and Meg Proehl (Kansas) have been honored on the women’s side. It is the third Conference award for Ricky Berens (swimming), fifth for Drew Livingston (diving), sixth for Wilkinson and the first for Proehl.
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Ricky Berens, Texas, Sr., Charlotte, N.C.
The Olympic gold medalist and world champion went undefeated in two individual events and four relays in UT’s victory over Texas A&M, SMU and Missouri at the Southwest Collegiate Plunge. His time of 48.71 in the 100 backstroke was an NCAA provisional-qualifying (“B” cut) mark.

Drew Livingston, Texas, So., The Woodlands, Texas
At the Southwest Collegiate Plunge, Livingston, the defending NCAA one-meter champion, swept the two diving events in the Horns’ win over Texas A&M, SMU and Missouri. He defeated eight other divers, winning the one-meter event by more than 30 points.
WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Julia Wilkinson, Texas A&M, Sr., Stratford, Ont.
Wilkinson was instrumental in A&M’s dual victory against Missouri, winning three individual events and swimming the backstroke on the first-place 200 medley relay. She also swam in four winning relays as the Aggies claimed the team title at the Big 12 Relays.
WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Meg Proehl, Kansas, Sr., San Diego, Calif.
Proehl was victorious in both the one-meter and three-meter events in a meet against Arkansas and Florida. The senior captain won the one-meter competition with a score of 279.23, and the three-meter event with a score of 277.50. Both scores met NCAA-qualifying standards.
