Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week
Cody Hawkins, Colorado, QB, Sr, Boise, Idaho
Cody Hawkins completed 16-of-24 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns in Colorado's win over Iowa State. He picked up 11 first downs, including one on a quarterback sneak on a fourth-down play. Hawkins posted a career-best single game passer rating of 201.02. He now has 7,044 career passing yards, second all-time at CU behind Joel Klatt's 7,375 yards. Big 12 Defensive Players of the Week
Orie Lemon, Oklahoma State, LB, Sr, Houston, Texas
Orie Lemon had 13 tackles, including 10 solo stops in Oklahoma State's first win at Texas since 1944. He recorded a quarterback sack for an eight-yard loss and had another tackle for a three-yard loss in helping limit Texas to 133 yards of offense in the first half. Lemon is third nationally in solo tackles with 7.8 per game.
Von Miller, Texas A&M, OLB/DE, DeSoto, Texas
Von Miller recorded five solo tackles and nine overall in Texas A&M's win at Baylor. He also had a quarterback sack for a loss of eight yards and caused a fumble. With A&M leading 35-30 and eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Miller combined with Jonathan Mathis to stop BU quarterback Robert Griffin III on a fourth and one for no gain at the BU 44-yard line. The A&M offense then proceeded to tack on the final touchdown in the victory.
