Brittney Griner (Baylor) and Danielle Adams (Texas A&M) were named to the 2011 Women's Associated Press All-America first team while Danielle Robinson (Oklahoma) was chosen to the second team.
Honorable mention selections included Melissa Jones and Odyssey Sims (Baylor), Kelsey Bolte (Iowa State) and Sydney Colson (Texas A&M).
Griner and Adams give the Conference 14 first-team honorees since the inception of the Big 12 and at least one in 11 consecutive seasons. Both players, plus Robinson were also honored last season as Griner was on the second team, Robinson was named to the third team and Adams was honorable mention.
