FOX Soccer To Broadcast Big 12 Contest

One Big 12 Conference soccer match will be featured on the seventh season of the NSCAA College Game of the Week on FOX Soccer, the network announced.

Defending Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State’s contest against Texas Tech on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. CT is one of eight women’s soccer matches scheduled to be telecast by the network this fall.

Oklahoma State won its second Big 12 Championship title in 2010 and became the sixth Big 12 team to advance to the NCAA Championship Elite Eight. Texas Tech had its most successful season in 14 years in 2010, finishing with an 11-8-1 record.

The Red Raiders and Cowgirls contest joins two other Big 12 regular season soccer matches that will be featured on a national network in 2011. ESPNU will broadcast Missouri at Oklahoma on October 16 and Oklahoma State at Texas A&M on October 23.

The Big 12 Soccer Championship game on November 6 at 3:30 p.m. CT will continue to be televised on FSN.

Since 2005, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and FOX Soccer have joined forces to offer live and exclusive NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts.

Fans who miss a match will be able to view NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts on-demand via FOXSoccer.tv, Fox Soccer’s broadband video service.
