The BCS group and the Fiesta Bowl announced that the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will be played Monday night, January 2, 2012.  The game will be televised on ESPN.  The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, one of the five BCS bowls, will feature two of the top-rated teams in the country as measured by BCS standings

The game had previously been scheduled for Thursday, January 5.

"The Fiesta Bowl is one of college football's great traditions and we're excited that it will be played in prime time on ESPN.  We don't know which teams will play, but we do know that it will be a wonderful matchup and special for athletes, schools and millions of college football fans," said Bill Hancock, Executive Director of the BCS.

The Fiesta Bowl will kick off at approximately 7:30 p.m. CST.  It will follow ESPN's telecast of the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO.
