Junior Steven Pledger (Oklahoma) and freshman Le'Bryan Nash (Oklahoma State) have been selected Big 12 Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for games of Jan. 23 - 29 in voting by a panel of media covering the Conference. It the second honor this season for Pledger, while Nash garners his first rookie award.

Pledger averaged 23.5 points and 5.5 rebounds as the Sooners split two games with nationally-ranked opponents last week. The junior guard began with 17 points and six rebounds as Oklahoma dropped a 77-65 decision to No. 6 Baylor. He followed that performance with 30 points and five boards as OU won at No. 22 Kansas State, 63-60. He had 20 points by halftime in that contest en route to his third career 30-point effort. It was the first road win against a Big 12 opponent for the Sooners since Jan. 26, 2008. Pledger shot 56.3 percent from the field in the two games, including 43.8 percent from 3-point range. He has six games with 20 or more points this year after having just three during the entire 2010-11 campaign.

PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Le'Bryan Nash, Oklahoma State, Fr., G/F, 6-7, 230, Dallas, Texas/Lincoln
Nash recorded 20.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as Oklahoma State posted a 79-72 win over No. 2 Missouri before falling at Texas A&M, 76-61. The freshman had his best game of the season versus the Tigers, with a season-high 27 points on 12-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, while dishing out four assists. It was his sixth outing with 20 points or more this season and his 13th double-digit scoring output. Nash then added 13 points and seven boards against the Aggies. He shot 51.5 percent from the week, with six assists, one block and one steal. He leads the Cowboys in scoring in Big 12 play with 15.6 points per game.
