OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The No. 6-seed Missouri Tigers run ruled the No. 7-seed Kansas Jayhawks, 12-2, in eight innings en route to earning their second consecutive trip to the Big 12 Championship game.
Jeff Emens (3-1) tallied the win for the Tigers, tossing 3.2 innings and only giving up one hit while stricking out five.
Pacing Missouri at the plate was Dane Opel who went 3-for-5 with five RBI. Michael McGraw and Ben Turner each were 3-for-4 as the pair totaled five RBI.
Tucker Tharp led the way for Kansas hitting at a .500 clip on the day with two RBI. The sophomore notched his third home run of the season in the third inning.
John Poppe (0-5) took the loss for the Jayhawks throwing one inning and giving up two runs off two hits.
Mizzou will face Oklahoma in the Big 12 Baseball Championship game Sunday at 1 p.m.. The contest will be televised live on FSN
