Oklahoma State and Texas Tech Punch Their Ticket to the Next Round

Oklahoma State and Texas Tech both move on to the 2017 NCAA Tennis Championship quarterfinals. Texas Tech will face Ohio State on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m. CT and Oklahoma State will take on Florida at 4 p.m. CT in Athens, Georgia.

Texas Tech advanced after taking down Auburn in the round of 16 by a score of 4-2. The Red Raiders came back after giving up the doubles point to advance to their first quarterfinals in program history.

Oklahoma State went down to the wire against Georgia Tech, but came out on top 4-3 to advance to the next round. The match came down to Aliona Bolsova on court three, but the Cowgirls pulled off the win to earn OSU a spot as one of the final eight remaining teams in the championship.

These victories' mark the third consecutive season a Big 12 women's tennis squad advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.
