Cyera Hintzen (Texas), Nicole Curry (Texas) and Taylor Moon (Baylor) received Big 12 soccer weekly awards for week two.
Hintzen earned Offensive Player of the Week, after leading the way for the Longhorns by scoring all three Texas goals against a pair of nationally-ranked teams (No. 4 North Carolina and No. 23 UCF) during the week. Goalkeeper Nicole Curry was awarded Defensive Player of the Week, after making seven combined saves against two nationally-ranked teams. Moon was named Freshman of the Week, following her assist on Baylor’s game-winning goal in the 80th minute against Florida Atlantic.
This is the first career honor for Moon, the second career Defensive Player of the Week honor for Curry and the fourth career Offensive Player of the Week honor for Hintzen. This is also the second week in a row a Baylor student-athlete has claimed Freshman of the Week.
