Two from Big 12 Named espnW All-Americans

Baylor center Kalani Brown and Iowa State guard Bridget Carleton were named second-team All-Americans by espnW on Thursday.

Brown, who was named the Philips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Most Outstanding Player for the second year in a row, averages 8.2 rebounds per game and leads the conference with a .623 field goal percentage. The 6-7 center is also one of 10 semifinalists for the Citizen Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year award.

Carleton becomes the first Cyclone to earn All-America honors since 2002, when Angie Welle was recognized by multiple entities as an All-American. The senior, who is the 2019 Big 12 Player of the Year, is leading the Conference with 21.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
