Three Big 12 teams made the 32-team National Invitational Tournament bracket. Baylor and Kansas State will host first-round games while Nebraska will open on the road.
Coupled with the six NCAA Tournament teams, the conference has a record nine teams in postseason play. The Big 12 is tied for the second-most teams active in this postseason. The Big East has 10 teams in the NCAA and NIT tourneys while the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten and Big 12 have nine teams.
Baylor is the No. 3 seed in its section of the bracket. The Bears will play host to sixth-seeded Georgetown of the Big East Conference at 8 p.m. Wednesday on ESPN2.
Kansas State is the No. 4 seed in its eight-team section of the bracket. The Wildcats will host No. 5 seed Illinois State of the Missouri Valley Conference at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Nebraska is the No. 6 seed in its bracket and will travel to No. 3 seed New Mexico of the Mountain West Conference. The game is scheduled for 9 p.m. Tuesday and will air on ESPNU.
