Junior center Jeff Withey (Kansas) and senior guard Chris Allen (Iowa State) have been selected Phillips 66 Big 12 Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for games of Feb. 7 - 12 in voting by a panel of media covering the Conference. It is the first career accolade for both student-athletes.

PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeff Withey, Kansas, Jr., C, 7-0, 235, San Diego, Calif./Horizon
Withey had a career week as Kansas won at No. 6 Baylor (68-54) and against Oklahoma State (81-66). The junior center began with a career-best 25 points to go along with five rebounds and three blocks at BU. He made 8-of-10 (.800) shots from the floor in that game. He then grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds versus the Cowboys to go along with 18 points and seven blocks. He is the second Big 12 player (Thomas Robinson, KU) to grab at least 20 boards in a game this year. Withey shot 60.9 percent from the floor on the week, while connecting at a .789 clip from the free-throw line. He is averaging 9.2 points and 6.3 rebounds and leads the Big 12 in blocks (79) and blocks per game (3.2). His 44 rejections in league play is double the total of the next closest player.

PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Allen, Iowa State, Sr., G, 6-3, 205, Lawrenceville, Ga./Meadowcreek/Michigan State
Allen becomes the fourth different Cyclone to earn rookie honors this season after Iowa State split two games, dropping a 69-67 decision at Oklahoma State before posting a 69-46 win over Texas A&M. The senior guard recorded two 20-point efforts, finishing with 22 points against the Cowboys prior to having a career-best 25 points versus the Aggies. It was his third and fourth 20-point games of the year. Allen made 11-of-18 (.611) shots from 3-point range for the week and shot 50.0 percent (16-of-32) overall. He has made a 3-pointer in 14 consecutive games and is 17-of-29 (.586) from beyond the arc in his last four contests. He leads the Cyclones in 3-pointers (58) this season.
