Eight Big 12 teams are in action during Week 2 with TCU playing its season opener.

Oklahoma, West Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma State, TCU and K- State are ranked nationally for the second week in both the coaches and media polls. Baylor received votes in both polls while Texas Tech picked up votes in the coaches edition.

Big 12 teams are off to a 9-0 start. Since last season, the league is 36-3 in non-conference games (.923 win percentage), and is 42-5 (.893) including bowl games.

The Big 12 is the only FBS league without a loss after Week 1 games.

Big 12 teams outscored their opponents 437-137 (average score, 48.5 to 15.2) during opening weekend.

Big 12 teams combined to run 703 offensive plays and gain 4,679 yards for an average of 519.8 yards per game and 6.7 yards per play.

The Big 12 has three of the longest FBS streaks of scoring at least 30 points: Oklahoma State (19), Oregon (14), USC (9), TCU (7) and Baylor (7).

Big 12 teams are ranked in the top three for longest win streaks - 1. TCU (W8), 2. Baylor (W7) and T3. West Virginia (W5).

Ten Big 12 players rushed for over 100 yards in Week 1 games, including two each from Kansas and Oklahoma State.

QB Geno Smith (West Virginia), LB Isaiah Bruce (West Virginia) and P Kirby Van Der Kamp (Iowa State) were selected the season's first Big 12 Players of the Week.

Geno Smith (West Virginia) was named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week.
