For the first time this season, four Big 12 teams are ranked in the AVCA national poll. The Jayhawks join Texas, Kansas State and Iowa State in the weekly rankings. KU checks in at No. 24, its first national ranking since Sept. 24, 2005. Texas remains ranked in the top 10 with their No. 9 spot. K-State is No. 14 and Iowa State No. 22. Oklahoma came 27 votes away from cracking the top 25 this week.

Texas and Kansas State posted 2-0 records in league play last week. The preseason favorite Longhorns sit atop the Conference standings with a 4-0 record. UT has played three of its four Big 12 matches on the road and will face its first ranked league opponent on Saturday when the Horns travel to Manhattan. The Wildcats have a big week on tap, hosting No. 22 Iowa State on Wednesday before the Saturday Texas match. K-State is 8-0 at home this season.

Along with the Wildcats, Kansas and Oklahoma have perfect marks at home this season. The Jayhawks improved to 9-0 in Lawrence with a five-set victory over then-No. 19 Iowa State last Wednesday. KU has not been swept by an opponent in 16 matches this season.

Baylor will face its fourth straight ranked Big 12 opponent when the Bears travel to Kansas on Saturday. BU opened league play against Iowa State, Texas and Kansas State.

Four league teams are ranked in the top 15 of the NCAA's first RPI report on the season - Kansas State (7), Kansas (9), Oklahoma (14) and Texas (15). The Big 12 is one of three conferences with four or more teams in the top 15. The Big 12 finished 2011 ranked first in NCAA RPI.

The Big 12 is 91-25 against non-conference competition this year. Four non-conference matches are on tap for the week.

Three league teams lead the league in most statistical categories with Kansas first in assists, kills and digs. Texas ranks first in hitting percentage and blocks, while TCU is atop the opponent hitting percentage and service aces category. UT (best hitting percentage) and TCU (lowest opponent hitting percentage) face each other in Austin on Wednesday.

Texas also leads the nation in blocks per set, averaging 3.35. The Big 12 has four teams ranked in the top 40. Oklahoma's Sallie McLaurin moved into the top spot on the individual list, averaging 1.70 blocks per set.

Kansas State is one of seven teams nationally with one loss or less on the season.

For the third week in a row, Iowa State's Kristen Hahn earned the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honor. She has seven total in her career. Kaitlynn Pelger (Kansas State) claimed the Offensive Player of the Week distinction - her second this season.
