Seven Big 12 volleyball student-athletes have been recognized on the Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Teams. The honors, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Elizabeth Gulick (West Virginia, District 2), along with Kristen Hahn, Alison Landwehr and Jamie Straube (Iowa State, District 6), and Caroline Jarmoc (Kansas, District 7) were named first-team honorees. The five will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

Second-team members include: Haley Eckerman (Texas, District 7) and Erin McNorton (Kansas, District 7).

Gulick, a junior, holds a 4.00 grade point in elementary education. Landwehr, an accounting major, and Straube, a kinesiology major, both carry GPAs over 3.90, while Hahn sits at a 3.34 mark. The trio of Cyclones make up half of the District 6 first team. Jarmoc has a 3.37 GPA as a chemical engineering major.
