• Texas maintains the top spot atop the AVCA national poll for the third straight week. The Longhorns are joined in the top 25 by Kansas (No. 24) and Iowa State (No. 25). All three teams posted 2-0 weeks last week. Oklahoma is receiving votes.

• UT enters the week on a 13-match winning streak having not lost a contest since Sept. 13. Since the first release of the NCAA RPI five weeks ago, the Longhorns have owned the best mark. The Big 12 has five teams in the top 50 - 1. Texas, 17. Kansas, 19. Oklahoma, 33. Iowa State, and 49. K-State.

• At 10-0, UT is also the leader in the Big 12 standings with just under a month left in the regular season. Texas is 55-2 in its last 57 Big 12 matches.

• Iowa State and Kansas sit at a tie in second place at 8-2. ISU and UT play just one conference match this week with Texas hosting Kansas and Oklahoma visiting Iowa State, both on Saturday.

• Kansas’ Caroline Jarmoc and Texas’ Bailey Webster are among 10 NCAA women’s volleyball student-athletes selected as finalists for the 2013 Senior CLASS Award. The Big 12 is one of three conferences with two or more finalists. Fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through December 9.

• After last week’s play, Jarmoc moved into a tie for second place on the Big 12’s career solo blocks list. The senior is tied with Amber Woolsey (Texas A&M, 1996-99) with 96 solo blocks and is 36 away from the all-time leader, Destinee Hooker (Texas).

• Iowa State’s 71 digs against Baylor on Saturday were the most in a three-set match by a Big 12 team this season. Libero Kristen Hahn also set the season-high with 26 individually. For her performance last week, Hahn won her 17th career Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honor.

• Kaitlynn Pelger (K-State, Offensive Player of the Week) garnered her eighth career award, while Tayler Soucie (Kansas, Rookie of the Week) won her third on the season and 10th for the Jayhawks in 2013 - most by a league team on the year thus far.

• The Wildcats posted their first win over Oklahoma since Nov. 9, 2011, with a 3-0 sweep of the Sooners in Manhattan on Sunday.

• K-State’s Katie Brand and West Virginia’s Jordan Anderson are among 11 freshmen nationally with nine or more double-doubles this season. In the Big 12, Brand ranks fifth in assists, while Anderson is first in kills and second in points. The two rookies meet on Saturday when WVU visits Manhattan.
