Thirteen Earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors

Thirteen league players have been named to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings Div. 1 All-Region teams, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association today. Seven of the league's teams were represented.

Seven standouts were named to the first team, including: Baylor's Troy Montemayor, Oklahoma State's Garrett McCain, TCU's Jared Janczak, Evan Skoug and Austen Wade, Texas Tech's Steven Gingery and Kyle Davis of West Virginia. Six were named to the second team, including: Oklahoma's Steele Walker, TCU's Luken Baker and Durbin Feltman, Morgan Cooper of Texas, and Texas Tech's Orlando Garcia and Hunter Hargrove.

All 13 honorees were named to the 2017 All-Big 12 Team and advanced to the NCAA postseason.

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. I All-America Committee. ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans will be announced on Saturday, June 17. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team finalists will be announced on Twitter on Monday, June 19, and the Gold Glove winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 21.
