Lauren Hagans (400-meter segment) Baylor

On bringing a DMR championship back to Baylor...
"It feels great. I've been hurt and haven't really done any workouts for about a week and a half. I just honestly had to trust that my fitness level and God would carry me through. I had been doing cross training for about 30 minutes a day, so it was just a big faith issue with me this week. It feels great knowing the history of our school."

Men's DMR

Danzell Fortson (400-meter segment) Texas

On winning the championship at his first Big 12 meet...
"It felt great to win the championship today. We were expected to win and we came through. Texas Tech has a solid first leg, so we knew we had to be in good position. Luckily, we have a great group of guys who can run the DMR. I know they won't let me down so I just go out there and try my hardest not to let them down."
