Men's 400-Meter Dash
LeJerald Betters - Baylor
On his race and how it feels to come out on top

"Helping the team out is my main concern. If I would have finished second, it wouldn't have been so much of a personal thing as a team thing. So I'm doing all I can. There were a lot of good jumpers in the competition."
Men's Triple Jump
Shardae Boutte - Oklahoma
On how this performance will help him prepare for nationals...

On how this season has been...
"I've had a rough year, but everyone else kept my confidence up. I don't even know how to explain today. Making that bar (6-0 1/2) is something I've been working on forever and making it at the Big 12 meet is unbelievable. This is easily the best meet I have ever been at."

On today's performance...
"It's about the team. We have great performers on this team, but no individual performance is going to overshadow this championship for this group of guys. We're in a very historical building, that integrity of track and field in this building is unmatched. For us to bring our team up here and win the championship, it's one of my biggest moments. This is a special group. Everybody thinks that it is just automatic down in paradise, but these guys step up each year. The expectation is high, they understand what were doing. This is a special group."
Texas A&M Coach - Pat Henry
On defending the indoor title...
"This is our fourth year with this staff here. We were fortunate enough to win it last year. That was a young group, and this group is a little more mature, and so this was a great meet for us this weekend."
