Oklahoma is ranked No. 4 in the Preseason AP Poll

The Big 12 has five football teams ranked in the top 14 of the Preseason Associated Press Poll just as the league did in the coaches rankings.

Oklahoma leads the Big 12 contingent at No. 4, identical to the rating it received from the coaches, while getting four first-place votes. The Sooners are listed in the top five of the AP Poll for a nation-leading 353rd time.

Missouri was ranked No. 6, its best preseason rating in school history. Texas was listed at No. 11, while Texas Tech is No. 12 and Kansas is No. 14. Nebraska was among the teams that received votes.

The Big 12 is the only league with five teams listed in the top 15 in both preseason polls.
