Big 12 Women's Basketball Players Named Preseason All-America Honorable Mention

Brittney Griner (Baylor), Danielle McCray (Kansas), Danielle Robinson (Oklahoma) and Andrea Riley (Oklahoma State) were selected preseason All-America honorable mention by the Associated Press.

McCray was named preseason Big 12 Player of the Year while Robinson and Riley joined her on the preseason All-Big 12 Team.

Riley has led the league in scoring the past two seasons, pouring in 23 points a game in 2008-09. She was second in the Conference in assists with 6.03. McCray was second in the Big 12 in scoring with 21.6 points and ninth in rebounding at 7.7 last season while leading the Jayhawks to the championship game of the WNIT. Robinson averaged 12.9 points a game and was third in the Conference in assists with 5.86 while helping Oklahoma to the Women's Final Four.

Griner was the Big 12's Preseason Freshman of the Year. She averaged 33 points, 15.5 rebounds and 11.7 blocks as a high school senior while dunking 52 times in 32 games.
