Oklahoma's Eric Lapotsky is the first athlete of the 2009-10 season selected to receive Big 12 Wrestler of the Month honors for competition through November. This is the first career Conference honor for Lapotsky.

Lapotsky continued his trend of pinning opponents this season, as the undefeated senior (8-0) has recorded six falls, including three in duals.  Lapotsky, who is 4-0 in dual action, is well on his way to eclipsing last year’s team-high total of 11 pins.  The Mt. Carmel, Pa., product’s fastest pin of the season came versus Anthony Pike of Arizona State (0:47).  Lapotsky was also impressive at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic on Nov. 14, capturing the 197-pound title with a perfect 4-0 record, with wins over opponents from Ohio State, Edinboro, Army and Rutgers.
