The University of Texas will host the Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships for the sixth time in Conference history. The event will be held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas, and will take place on February 23-26, 2011. Texas last hosted the championships in 2008.
The Big 12 Conference Championships field will consist of the six institutions that sponsor women's programs: Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas and Texas A&M, along with the three schools that have men's teams: Missouri, Texas and Texas A&M. The Longhorn men's squad has won the Big 12 championship every year since the Conference was formed in 1996, giving UT 14 titles total. On the women's side, Texas A&M earned its fourth overall league title last season, while Texas owns eight crowns. Nebraska took home top honors in 1997 and '98.
