The Big 12 Conference annually holds coaches' meetings for its football, men's basketball and women's basketball coaches. This season, the meetings will take place in Phoenix from April 30 – May 2.

Each group of coaches gets together for at least a full day with their respective sport liaisons while talking about a variety of topics that affect their sport on the school, conference and national level. Discussions take place on everything from squad size to game management to the conference stance on NCAA issues. The Big 12 Commissioner and Conference staff take part as well. Selected outside groups, such as the Big 12 television and bowl partners, also participate and allow the coaches to express any gratitude or concerns to each of these valuable partners.

Once the coaches have completed their agendas, they will then get together with the Directors of Athletics to advance any necessary recommendations through the Big 12 governance structure in order for the recommendations to become league-wide policies.
