The Big 12 Has Most Players In NBA Finals

Wendell Barnhouse is a nationally-known and respected columnist who has spent over 20 years covering collegiate athletics. The NBA Finals start Tuesday and the official rosters for the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder feature seven former Big 12 Conference players. No other conference has more (the Atlantic Coast Conference is next with four players.)

Miami has three former Big 12 players: Mario Chalmers (Kansas), Terrel Harris (Oklahoma State) and Dexter Pittman (Texas). Oklahoma City has four: Kevin Durant (Texas), Royal Ivey (Texas), Nick Collison (Kansas) and Cole Aldrich (Kansas).
