Hope Sloanhoffer (West Virginia), Rebecca Clark (Oklahoma) and Nicolette Swoboda (West Virginia) have earned the Big 12 weekly gymnastics awards for competition through Feb. 2. Sloanhoffer is the Gymnast of the Week recipient for the second-straight week. Clark received her second Event Specialist of the Week this season and Swoboda claims her first weekly honor as the Newcomer of the Week.

BIG 12 GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
Hope Sloanhoffer, West Virginia, Sr., Cornwall, N.Y.
Sloanhoffer won her third straight all-around title with a 39.325 showing. She won a share of three event titles for the third straight week, scoring a 9.875 to win floor outright. She posted a 9.825 on bars and beam for event wins. The senior recorded a season high beam score, 9.825, the second straight week she has set the mark on the event. Additionally, she finished third on vault with a 9.8, the meet’s second-best score. Her performance helped the Mountaineers post a season-best team total and a season-high floor score (49.025). Sloanhoffer’s scores jumped her two spots to No. 15 on the WVU Career Points All-Time List and currently shows 1524.725 career points.

BIG 12 EVENT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Rebecca Clark, Oklahoma, Jr., Blue Springs, Mo.
Clark was one of Oklahoma’s steadiest performers, sticking both of her routines on bars and beam in the Sooners’ narrow loss to Florida. Clark appeared in the No. 2 spot for OU on bars, posting a 9.875 to tie her season-high on the event and finish in the tie for second on the event. Clark has now posted a 9.875 or better on bars three times this season. She followed up with a 9.875 on beam in the anchor position for Oklahoma to tie for fourth overall, giving the junior her third routine of 9.85 or higher on beam this season.

BIG 12 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Nicolette Swoboda,West Virginia, Fr., Westbury, N.Y.
Swoboda scored a career-best 39.075, her first career 39.0+ score, and finished second in the all-around. She also set or matched three event career highs. Swoboda scored a career-best 9.875 on vault and finished first overall, matched a career high of 9.775 on floor and finished fifth and tallied a career-best 9.75 on bars and placed sixth. The freshman also scored 9.675 on beam and finished 11th. She opened floor lineup for first time this season and helped unit tally a season-best 49.025 and led to a season-best 195.5 team score for the Mountaineers.
