Douglass has been named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Nolan is the Defensive Player of the Week and Konstantinidou earns the Rookie of the Week.

Douglass’ award marks the first Offensive Player of the Week for Texas Tech since the distinction began in 2007. The Red Raiders claimed 11 Player of the Week honors from 1996-2006. Iowa State earns its 36th overall Defensive Player of the Week honor since ‘07. No other league school has more than 12.

Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Douglass, So., MB/RS, Flower Mound, Texas/Ole Miss
Douglass was named MVP of the Titan Classic in her debut as a Red Raider, leading Tech to the tournament title. She recorded double-digit kills in each of the three matches, ranking sixth in the Big 12 with 35 overall kills, but second in the Conference in hitting percentage, at an impressive .544. She also averaged 1.64 blocks in TTU’s opening weekend. She recorded double-digit kills in each of the Red Raiders’ wins, hitting over .600 in two of the matches.

Defensive Player of the Week
Caitlin Nolan, Iowa State, Jr., L, Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll
Nolan made her debut at libero for the Cyclones in the AVCA Showcase and gave a glimpse that little has changed for ISU at the position. In her first action in place of graduated three-time All-American and three-time Big 12 Libero of the Year Kristen Hahn, Nolan led Iowa State and the Big 12 with 5.67 digs per set. In the Cyclones’ season opener against Stanford, Nolan led all players with a career-high 19 digs. She followed that up with a match-high 15 digs against Florida State on Sunday.

Rookie of the Week
Lamprini Konstantinidou, West Virginia, S, Thessaloniki, Greece/Hellenic College of Thessaloni
Konstantinidou led the Mountaineers and the Big 12 with 12.22 assists per set for a total of 110 on the weekend. She also totaled six aces and averaged 3.22 digs per set. In her career debut against ninth-ranked BYU, she recorded four aces, 37 assists, six digs and a block assists against the Cougars. Against Toledo, she had 34 assists and a team-best 14 kills in the squad’s 3-0 win over Toledo. In WVU’s 3-0 sweep of IUPUI on Saturday, she totaled 39 kills and just missed a double-double with nine digs.
