History Made As Three Teams Advance in Penalty Kicks

After a historic evening for the Big 12, three teams will advance to the Third Round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship for only the second time in history (first: 2006). Baylor, Texas and West Virginia will move on after advancing in penalty kicks.

Seventy-five percent of Big 12 teams moved out of the Second Round. The three penalty kick decisions tonight also marks the most in Big 12 history during the Second Round and the most since two in 2009.

The Third Round will take place Sunday afternoon on campus sites.
