OKLAHOMA CITY – Top-seeded Baylor advanced to its eighth consecutive Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship final with a 94-48 win over No. 5 TCU, while No. 2 Texas collected a 68-55 win over No. 6 West Virginia. The final is set for 8 p.m. CT on FS1.
Game 7 - No. 1 Baylor 94, No. 5 TCU 48
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Kalani Brown scored 28 points and No. 3 Baylor rolled past TCU 94-48 in a record-setting Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship Women's Basketball semifinal for its 27th straight victory.
Baylor's 46-point win was the largest margin of victory in a Big 12 tournament game ever, topping Iowa State's 37-point victory over Nebraska in 2000.
Lauren Cox had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Alexis Morris scored a season-high 18 points for Baylor. Juicy Landrum had13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Lady Bears (30-1).
The game went a lot like the regular-season matchups - Baylor won the previous meetings 83-63 on Feb. 10 and 85-53 on Feb. 24.
Jordan Moore and Amy Okonkwo each scored 12 points for TCU (19-12).
Baylor will play No. 7 Texas or West Virginia in the championship. The Lady Bears won seven straight conference tournament titles before losing to West Virginia in the final last year.
Game 8 - No. 2 Texas 68, No. 6 West Virginia 55
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Jatarie White scored 11 points to help No. 7 Texas beat West Virginia 68-55 in a Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship semifinal on Sunday.
Ariel Atkins, Joyner Holmes and Alecia Sutton each scored 10 points for the Longhorns (26-5), who have won 12 of 13.
Naomi Davenport scored 17 points and Kristina King added 12 for West Virginia (21-11), which was the defending tournament champion.
Texas will play No. 3 Baylor for the title Monday night. Baylor defeated TCU 94-48 earlier Sunday in the other semifinal.
