Big 12 Student-Athletes Participating in Final Four Activities

Several Big 12 student-athletes are competing in Final Four ancillary events this weekend in San Antonio.

Baylor’s Manu Lecomte, Iowa State’s Donovan Jackson, Oklahoma State’s Kendall Smith and Texas Tech’s Zach Smith will represent the Big 12 in the inaugural 3X3U National Championship. The All-Star teams will feature 32 NCAA Division I Conferences against each other in a 3-day, 3-on-on 3 basketball tournament. Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, will consist of pool play, while Sunday, April 1, will culminate the Championship bracket.

On Thursday evening, ISU’s Jackson, TTU’s Smith and Texas women’s basketball standout Ariel Atkins will represent the Big 12 in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championship. Atkins will compete in the women’s 3-point contest, while Jackson will participate in men’s 3-point shootout. Smith will showcase his dunking ability in the Slam Dunk portion of the event. The event will air live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday.

TCU’s Vladimir Brodziansky will compete for the East Division in the Reese’s NABC College All-Star Game on Friday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:35 p.m. CT and will air on CBS Sports Network.
