Three Big 12 Schools Advance to NCAA Women's Golf Championship

Three Big 12 Women’s Golf Teams advanced to the NCAA Championship. Texas, Baylor, and Oklahoma all finished in the top six of the Austin Regional to move on to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., May 18-23.

 

Big 12 champion and regional host Texas finished second while shooting a three-round total of 849 (-15), nine strokes behind Arkansas. Baylor finished in a three-way tie for third with Florida and Auburn while shooting an 869 (+5), and Oklahoma shot 870 (+6) to wrap up sixth place in the regional.

Oklahoma State's Emma Broze also won a playoff against Laura Kowohl of North Carolina State and will move on to represent the Oklahoma State women's golf team at the NCAA Championships. As a team, the Cowgirls shot a final round of 2-over par 290 to finish in a tie for seventh. OSU missed the cutline for the NCAA Championships by a single stroke.
